Introduction

Delhi is one of the most famous cities and very rich in culture in India. Delhi is one of the best tourist destinations in India. Things like the majestic Red Fort, the magnificent fortress built by the Mughal Emperor, and the unique structure all show that it is the best tourist place in Delhi.

1.Red Fort

Red Fort, or locally called Lal Qila, is an old historical fort and one of the best tourist place in Delhi. Red Fort is the home of the Mughal emperor, and Red Fort was built on the orders of emperor Shah Jahan on May 12, 1639. At the time of construction, Red Fort Shah Jahan shifted capital from Agra to Delhi. In 1739, Nadir Shah invaded the Mughal Empire. 

On August 15, 1947, the first prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, raised an Indian flag on the red fort. Every year on independence day (15 August), the prime minister of India hoists the flag at the main gate of the fort.

The fort is located in Chandni Chowk, and the nearest metro station is Jama Masjid.

2.India Gate

India Gate, or All India War Memorial, is a memorial place for those 74,187 soldiers of the Indian army who died in the years between 1914 and 1921 in the first world war. Amar Jawan Jyoti or Flame of the Immortal Soldier has been burning since 1971 as India’s tomb of the unknown soldiers. Every year on Republic Day, the prime minister of India visits India Gate to pay tribute to Amar Jawan Jyoti, and the following Republic Day parade starts. All the schools or college organize the trip to show them one of the best tourist place in Delhi to show them memorials of  martyr soldiers.

3.Akshardham Temple

Akshardham Temple is a Hindu temple located at the border of Noida. Akshardham Temple represents Hindu religion, spirituality, culture, and architecture. The Akshardham temple is the second-largest temple in BAPS. 
The temple was inaugurated in 2005 by Swami Maharaj.

4.Lotus Temple

Lotus Temple in Delhi

The lotus temple is made in the shape of a lotus structure. It is very famous for its prominent attraction. The temple is made of Pentelikon marble, which originally came from Greece. The building is composed of 27 standing petals arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. It has a capacity of 1300 people.
It is located in Delhi, and the nearest metro station will be Kalkaji Mandir metro station.

5.Humayun Tomb

The Humayun tomb is very famous in Delhi. It was ordered by Mughal Emperor Humayun to make it for his first wife, Empress Begum. The tomb was made in 1558. The tomb structure is made up of red sandstone with white and black inlaid marble border. The garden of Humayun tomb is called the dormitory of Mughals, where 150 members of the Mughal family are buried.

The tomb is located in Hazrat Nizamuddin East Delhi. The nearest metro station is Jor Bagh metro station in the yellow line.
